Comments CommentsBeautiful weather and great packed powder conditions.

Ram's Head - we hit this around lunch time; good packed powder conditions on Header and Caper.

Snowdon - Frolic was initially icy, but Vagabond had decent soft bumps. Chute was nice top to bottom. Highline was closed until around 2, at which point it was a bit scraped. Snowdon Quad was slow, but the Poma was also running.

North Ridge - Upper Ridge Run was a bit rough, but Rime, Reason, and Upper East Fall were good, even at the end of the day.

Killington Peak - Cascade was great in the morning (except the very top part off the summit, which I heard was terribly icy). Snowmaking at just shut down this morning on Downdraft and Double Dipper, so we skipped those. Lower East Fall was great, even at last run. Canyon Quad was running, so one didn't have to deal with the gondola every run.

South Ridge - We took only one run here, as it was ungroomed and it's very tough to ski with the current lift configuration. Jug was bumps with some bare spots and rocks poking through.

Bear Mountain - The Bear Mountain Quad was not running, so there was no way to get to the top without hiking. Upper Wildfire was bumps. The Stash was nice (no one on it, despite all of the money invested). Bear Cub was okay, but the long traverse back to the lift gets old.

Skye Peak - Gateway was good. Skyeburst was pretty congested, but otherwise nice. Dream Maker was also nice (barely anyone on it, despite all of the money invested). Needles Eye was good and High Road was awesome (wish the Needle's Eye Quad was running, as Skyeship II isn't terribly convenient).

Route 4 - Carpenter's Run was uneven and Home Stretch was awkward ungroomed natural. Great Eastern is the way to go.

Superstar - Superstar was groomed top to bottom and generally good, though some of the World Cup ice was tricky, especially at the very awkward speed fencing at the bottom. Ovation was manmade ice and very awkward. Skylark was also quite icy in places. Bittersweet was in good shape.

Did not venture to Sunrise or Snowshed.

Nice day with 25 runs/30.9K feet vertical. It will be a shame to see these nice packed powder conditions disappear with the rain forecasted for Friday.
