Comments CommentsIt was a good few hours to ski Cranmore. It’s a much smaller mountain compared to the resorts I’ve been visiting up to this point.
The trails I skied were the following:
1-) Schneider to Artist Falls to Beginners Luck:
This route from the summit was terrific and there were snowmaking whales readily available on the side of Schneider so you can tell they preparing for Christmas Week!

2-) Middle to Compettion Slope opened for the first time today. I was kinda of surprised of how the grooming team did with the opening of this route. There is usually plenty of death cookies along this specific trail for its opening but there were not near the amount I was expecting even though the death cookies were existent.

3-) The Alley Trail where the old Darkside Terrain Park was located (the new Nastar and community race course) was open so anyone could take a run. It was wide open and you can tell the snowmaking team did a good job in the easy portion of the season making sure there was plenty of snow on this trail.

4-) The Ledges Trail was open and it was a bit skied off but it was nice for a late afternoon run even though there were patches of ice.

Great day at Cranmore but there was ice on the different trails because of the small warmup parts of New England experienced this week. Cranmore had the snowguns going on the whole span of the North Slope so you can tell they are prepping this trail for a Christmas Vacation opening.
