Comments CommentsRolled the dice on this one by buying online yesterday for $36 (window rate $60), since the web site trail report showed 2.5 routes would be open this weekend. Reality is they're down to just Superstar. The better weather would have been this afternoon (sun forecasted to come out in that area; the fog was burning off from what I could see in Woodstock just before noon), but I wanted to get there for opening with hopes of getting runs in on whatever passes they made with the groomer. Unfortunately they did not, so Superstar was top to bottom, wall to wall moguls; not my thing. Fortunately there were no downpours, but things were socked in with fog. I made 4 runs, then decided I'd much rather go trail running in Woodstock.

There is still top to bottom, wall to wall coverage on the snowmaking portion of Superstar (obviously the lift line behind the tower guns is bare), still many feet deep (except the flat approaches/unloads from the lift, which I suspect they piece together for every day they operate at this juncture). Much of the trail was boilerplate moguls this morning, with the S turn down low softening up with traffic. Only perhaps a dozen skiers out there this morning.
