Comments Comments I had to get out today and so happy my Loon friend Jeannie was happy to ski all morning with me. We covered the whole mountain. Heck we even rode the East Basin double today. Started out pretty firm but they made a big effort grooming so main route trails were groomed to nice loose granular. We started right at 8 am and no line at the Kanc 8 for first three runs. We made fast laps by splitting up and going in the singles line at the gondola and the Kanc 8. Not a lot of people over at South Peak, really firm there in the am but later it was beginning to soften up. By 10 am snow getting scraped into piles and some firm stuff appeared--conditions a mixed bag to be expected as it was 40 degrees at the top of the mountain and 28 at the bottom at opening bell. At Noon it was 50 degrees! By Noon when I had to leave it had gotten crowded so it was a good time to go home. Good snow coverage.
