Comments CommentsWhat a morning at Whaleback. It was slow driving on 91 with the roads just being cleared, but we made it up eventually. Never been before but could immediately tell this place would pack a punch. 9-10" of new snow had fallen the night before.

First run was down Flipper to Spout just to get a feel for the place. Spout still had tons of fresh snow and was wide open on a man made base. Jonah's Revenge had a couple obstacles to dodge around on the steeper pitches. The Face was awesome, choppy powder with plenty of good lines particularly on skiers right of the trail. Jawbone was ROTD, a really fun steep trail with great snow. There were some good jumps in the park off Canyon, which were awesome to hit when the landings were powder. Fluke and Davey Jones Locker were classic through-the-woods cruisers. Blowhole was a little tougher and had some moguls and rocks, but also some really good sections that I opened up on.

Did 9 runs in total at the place and will definitely come back there on another powder day. Awesome mountain.
