Comments CommentsClear, Calm and Cold! Beautiful Day, we got to the parking lot around 10, and even though people were parking below the lots on the access road, we were able to park in lot 9 no problem. The couple lots they reserved for the Free Style Comp didn't look full either. Never waited more than a few minutes for the Bubble Lift, everything else was ski on. Not as big a crowd as I would have thought for the Freestyle Race. We ventured down the side of Bobby's Run to watch a few racers and Watched from the Green Peak Chair. It was cool to see a competition like that up close. Just watching those kids made our knees hurt! Governor's Run skieed the best all day. Other trails hid un-edgable hardpack under frozen granular / packed powder. Oblivion held up very well considering the amount of traffic that it gets. The new race course set up off the High Country area was new to us. Did a very ungraceful flip trying to load the T-Bar while also trying to carry some yahhoo's helmet up... Every lift was pretty much ski on except for the 6pack but that moves really fast. Only stopped for us once towards the end of the day. I think because of the temps, alot of people hunkered down in the lodge around lunch and never went back out. Waterville seems to spread out the crowds really well.
Finished our day with a run down Old Tecumseh, then hit the World Cup T Bar for a final to get our Indy Pass worth.
