Glades GladesCover was getting quite thin in most glades due to skier traffic. Anarchy was the best one I did while Growler was the worst.
Moguls MogulsOuter Limits had large and irregular moguls interspersed with wide ice patches. Valley Plunge was quite thin, while Upper Catwalk was good. Wildfire was awesome with nice soft bumps and snowmaking whales.

Comments CommentsAnother busy Saturday ski day, this time at Killington. All the lifts were open except for a couple surface lifts, while almost all trails were open apart from a few on Bear Mountain. Bluebird followed by a cloudy afternoon, but nice views out to the White Mountains all day. Moderate temperatures in the upper teens to low twenties and a slight snow shower right at the start of the day.

I spent the morning hopping around to different peaks as well as doing a full top-to-bottom run to the Skyeship base, then did some laps on Bear Mountain and Killington Peak in the afternoon. Conditions were generally good with packed powder on most of the trails, though the most popular routes got a bit icy toward the end of the day as one would expect. Things firmed up a little once the sun got lower in the afternoon. A lot of the steeper natural trails such as Flume had stretches of thin cover. Snowmaking was active on Wildfire, Ovation and Dream Maker.

The main lifts were all quite busy with 5-ish minute lines, but some of the minor lifts like the South Ridge and Canyon Quads had only a few chairs' wait. The Peak Lodge had no power for the whole day for some reason; relatedly, K-1 Gondola started on hold and then ran at a reduced speed for the rest of the day, leading to lines of around 15-20 minutes. Despite the crowds, it was still a fun day at the Beast of the East!
