Comments | Got a couple hours of night skiing in at my local hill last night. Ticket was $45, a little on the pricey side considering some stuff wasn't open, but not crazy. Sundown ($40) is probably the better value for next time. They have a new RFID system which was a bit finicky.
All three lifts were running until around 9 when they closed the Thunderbolt lift. No lines of more than a couple chairs. Four ways down - Thunderbolt (closed for racing between 6:45 and 8:45 or so), Laurel, Avalanche (under the guns), and Dom's Way. Huge whales on the two closed trails, Tester and Liftline. Both opened today. Conditions were mostly fine, it's been cold so some stuff (mainly Laurel) was skied off and icy. Had to be careful for sticky patches around the guns. Once the beer league races were done, Thunderbolt was skiing well with excellent packed carving snow. Stayed for about 3 hours, got 16 runs in with some friends. |
