Comments CommentsExpansive rollout of open terrain, though the lift-to-trail ratio is low, resulting in conditions getting scraped quickly and trails being crowded in places. Generally two trails open off each lift.

Whitecap - Tempest Quad is open; I believe Roadrunner was open off it. Jibe was open with large whales, while Heat's On was groomed with golf balls.

Locke/Barker - Racing on T2. Cascades was scratchy early on. Monday Mourning was closed with a massive snowmaking campaign ongoing. Upper and Lower Sunday Punch were okay, though upper had some random rocks. Jungle Road was a mess with ice and rocks. Ecstasy and Lazy River were so so.

Spruce Peak - Risky Business was open with whales and snowmaking in progress. American Express was decent on upper, but there were was a large rock hiding in the snowpack on lower.

North Peak/South Ridge - I have no idea what's what, since this complex is a series of trail junctions. Dream Maker was scratchy in places with ski school wipeouts, and looks like there was a large dirt runoff from the rain. I think Escapade had snowmaking in progress.

Aurora - Closed, but snowmaking in progress on Air Glow and Northern Lights.

Jordan - in need of a refresh after last week's rain. Some icy patches on Lolla and Rogue Angel causing pile ups. Kansas and Cyclone had some rocks randomly poking through.

Brisk start in the single digits made the bubbles appreciated. Nice clear blue skies, but the low sun angle keeps much of the terrain in the shade this time of year.
