Glades | Snowdon glades were open for business. Low tide, I didn't venture in. Saw some people in Big Dipper as well.
Moguls | Plenty. Some stuff left ungroomed had big packed bumps (Mouse Trap, Ridge Run, North Star), mellower trails and midday rope drops had softer bumps.
Terrain Park(s) | They still had the pop-up park on Reason, back under the K parks brand. Equipment was piled up on Snowdon.

Food and Beverage | Peak lodge overpriced as always, but I had a good sandwich.
Comments | What a way to start the season at newly independent Killington today. Big signs told me the upper lot was full when I arrived around 9:30, so I parked at Skyeship. Though plenty of people were around for the World Cup races, on the hill it was no busier than a typical weekday. Virtually no lines of more than a few chairs/cabins. Conditions were excellent for Thanksgiving weekend - 2 feet of snow since Thursday made it feel like mid winter, and it hadn't gone above freezing since. Most runs were carveable packed powder, with ice on some busier trails like Upper Great Northern and Chute. The Upper Snowdon trails had the consistently best conditions - all of them were very soft and great to ski on, especially the ones on natural snow. Around lunchtime patrol dropped ropes on a bunch of Canyon trails - Cascade, Downdraft, and Escapade. I hit Cascade once it'd been tracked in a little and it was great. Soft, deep, and playful up top and a little more bumped up lower down. You had to be careful on the steeper portions. Downdraft was worse, though I hit it later in the afternoon so the bumps were bigger, firmer, and it'd been skied off more. Very grateful that they left some of the good stuff for us Sunday skiers. Skiers left of Rime was good, if you avoided the park features Reason had very good snow. Bunny Buster top to bottom (partially under the guns) turned out to be great - skiers right on the top half had great snow (mostly natural) and you weren't getting pounded by the guns. The area of Chute, Great Northern, and Mouse Trap near the bridge was an icy mess - needs more love from the snow makers and some good grooms. Lots of traffic funneling through it. Came expecting huge crowds and was pleasantly surprised. Would highly recommend in the future and I'll probably be back next year.
