Comments | Today looks like it was one of the last days of winter conditions that we'll see for a bit. It was a great bluebird day at BMOM. The base area was busy, due to racing, but there was never a wait of more than a couple minutes to get on the chairs all day. Everything was open, except for Kennebago and the very start of Magalloway, both due to unfrozen water drainages. Groomed terrain had a fast loose granular surface, while ungroomed terrain was very firm, but plenty skiable in places that didn't have ruts in the older snow. Trails with snowmaking had good cover, but glades and natural trails had numerous thin and bare spots showing through. We took a couple runs in the sidecountry area, including down the newly reworked Wesserunsett. It's a fun trail with steeps and interesting undulations in the terrain which is great to see clear of brush again. |
