Ticket Type | Indy Pass | |
Lift Lines | 0 minutes | |
Trail Conditions | 75% open; Loose Granular, Frozen Granular
Glades | NRO Glade was closed, but the Upper Lift Line trees were open. Seemed like 3-6" of frozen snowpack with a dusting of powder on top.
Moguls | On some of the natural trails.
Terrain Park(s) | None | |
Run of the Day | Don Worden Schuss
Food and Beverage | Did not partake. Apparently cash is not accepted, so I'm a lot less likely to be interested.
Comments | First, three small things I appreciated. 1) They let folks onto the lifts about 10 minutes early; 2) They don't charge for the RFID when redeeming an Indy Pass; 3) They kept Worden's open to the public this morning, limiting race training to the lower portion. Two groomed ways down from each peak. On Winslow, Herman's Highway and Pass Fail were the snowmaking/groomed trails and skiing okay. MD was open as ungroomed adventure skiing. Thomas was closed with active snowmaking. Post Doc and Cum Laude were closed. On Holts, Worden's and Upper Kelton's to Meck to the Face were the groomed runs and skiing okay. Lower Lift Line and Lower Gauntlet were closed, but I believe everything else ungroomed was opened. Green Pastures were nasty due to frozen ruts, but upper Meck and upper Big Green had some dust on crust (lower portions had some blue ice and bare spots). Quad occasionally had lines, but the double was ski-on. I much prefer the double, in part because it runs much faster than the quad and has far fewer slows/stops.
