Comments | A bit of a let down, as a good portion of the night skiing terrain was closed due to failed lights and racing. Took some time off to get there in time for a few runs off the top (first hour of the night ticket includes the HSQ). Gunsmoke was pretty bad with lots of boilerplate/icy/some rocks. Recoil was firm, edgeable. Upper Trigger was scraped, but Middle Trigger was decent. Some piles on Flintlock, but not open. Managed to ski Stonebar and Flintlock Extension before they closed around 4; both were decent. I heard Red Hat was good during the day, but they closed it a little after 4 (despite being a "night skiing" trail); looks like there are a lot of dark spots. Upper Cannonball was also closed down a little after 4. Tiger Steeps has guns set up, but only a dusting of snow. Tiger was closed for racing, as was Ramrod. In other words, Cannonball was the only trail open tonight off the Tiger. Phelps and Smith were open off Ramrod, plus the crossover to the bottom of pistol. Scratchy in places. Pistol and Blundersmoke were open off Pistol, but were half-width or less. A couple of trails open off the Penny Quad, plus one crossover. Hard to justify the $47 for only one 700' vertical trail and the rest being 160-400ish vertical. Amazed at how many dark spots they still have too; been spoiled by Pats Peak's lights! | |
