Comments CommentsYesterday I closed out my season at Killington on Superstar & Skyelark. It's amazing how much snow is still left on Superstar; it's still up to the level of the lift on some of the upper parts. Superstar started out with a groomed section in the middle, but by afternoon the entire trail was large moguls. The groomed loop of Skyehawk still had good coverage & never bumped up the way Superstar did. Skyelark was nearing the end & had very, very thin cover on many parts. It was still possible to ski Skyelark without walking yesterday, but I'm sure walking will be required today. The day was warm with temperatures in the 50s & 60s. At the start of the day the mountain was in a thick cloud & crowds were light, but the clouds lifted around noon & it became quite crowded. The final hour & a half was back in the cloud with on & off rain. It was a great way to end my season & I look forward to next year.
