Comments CommentsWow - morning was a study in contrasts! Absolutely unbelievable views: clouds, undercast, blue skies once you rode up the Cannonball Quad. Views under the tram were amazing!!!! Downside was the patchy ice on most trails (except front five) - would be scary if I didn't have REALLY sharp edges. Upper Ravine was an icy chute and I didn't even both with Profile. From the top, the best runs were Vista & Tramway. I could definitely get an edge and never washed out. I like the challenge of these conditions.

Besides the tremendous views, the front five were really awesome riding. From the top of the Zoomer Chair, it was a little tricky to ride the cat track (very icy - I had to squat & push myself with my hands) over to Avalanche & Paulie's Folly, but, it was well worth it. Runouts at the bottom can make it tough to get back to the chair (tram is closed), but, with the ice I was able to keep up my speed.

The lift attendants were really good at loading up all the seats - every lift was almost ride on despite the Bodefest crowds. There were quite a few people here today, but not many other snowboarders.
