Comments | What else do you do when it’s snowing!? Conditions were pretty good despite the weeks wild weather. Even with Wednesday warm temps the base seemed to still be pretty edgeable. Nice coating of snow on top, making for soft bumps later in the day. Snow on the sides of trails was the best (Lower Ridge on skiers right was where it was at)! Birches had the best snow. All little low soft bumps to bounce around on, along with the pitch was perfect. Showboat was a little more scratchy mid morning, plus the wind blowing up the hill made for small humps that ran across the width of the trail. Report said Ragged Glades were open, but top was roped off. Did not venture down Wild Side to see if there was another entrance, but even if there was it didn’t look like anyone travelled it from the Pines junction. Fair amount of grass showing through new snow. Crowds weren’t too terrible either! |
