Comments | We went to Sunapee on "free" Epic Pass tix, arriving after a long drive at 10:45 to encounter the most crowded ski area I can recall. We got one of the last spots in the Siberia lot but the line for the shuttle bus looked like it might take 30 minutes or so. We had already been appalled by the tortuous lift line when we drove by, which seemed to be moving slowly. Plans B and C were Pat's Peak or Gunstock, both sold out. Plan D was Bradley, in a semi-rustic part of Haverhill, which happened to be on my bucket list. Bingo! The small parking lot wasn't nearly full and we had a walk of about 100 yards to the lodge. Not more than 200 feet vertical but the open Black Diamonds had decent pitch and the grooming had been excellent. No lift lines on such a bluebird day was enough to make us smile but this unpretentious little gem had more than that. |
