Comments | Cold but good day at Pico! Pico is one of my go-to ski areas on holiday weekends and it did not disappoint this time either! The longest line was probably just about 5min (maybe slightly over) and for a COVID-era holiday Saturday that is really impressive. Love how they were enforcing the COVID protocols as well, even enforcing the no holes in mask policy. The mask enforcers seemed to have left after lunch, though by that time I think most people got it. The snow was nice. Nice and soft packed powder on top, with some firmness under it, especially in the afternoon off of the Summit things got firm. Lower mountain stuff was nice pretty much all day. Very cold, highs at the base were probably in the low teens. Not really windy at the base, but windy at the summit. |
