Comments CommentsToday was a perfect bluebird day at Lost Valley! They had most of their core terrain open (the area between the lifts) and the snow was in great shape. Rabbit Run was open with natural snow and it had thin cover, but all the other trails had snow made on them.

It was relatively busy and there were lines that reached a few minutes long, but they opened Lift 2 around noon which dispersed the crowds. The trails and base area never really felt crowded.

The lodge was open for changing, warming up, and eating food bought there, but since it was warm, we booted up and ate outside. They also had warming huts at the top of Lift 1 and between the two chairs in the base area, but they didn't receive much use today. Most people were wearing face masks and stayed pretty well spaced-out. It's encouraging to have seen people following the rules at the places I've skied so far and I hope it will help keep the ski area open all winter.

Lost Valley also makes some of the best whoopie pies that I've had. Definitely worth trying if you ski there!
