Comments | Finally made it over to this small area a few minutes north of Exit 2 of I-89. Small parking lot behind Barrett Memorial Hall in South Strafford. The rope tow started up shortly after I arrived this morning, so the upper half of the slope was mostly untouched. A slight crust on top of a half a foot of powder, on top of an existing base. The lower half of the slope had been groomed and was nice packed powder. The rope tow is fast, so a lot of runs can be made in a short period of time. Last I knew, the area is open (natural snow permitting) 1-4 PM on weekends, at no cost. Operated by friendly volunteers. | |
