Comments | Late winter day in April. Snow falling at opening, as well as a chilly breeze (resulting in the gondola running at a reduced speed). South Peak and Kanc base areas/lifts closed for season. Only the gondola and North Peak Quad running. With the exception of Triple Trouble and middle Big Dipper (both fully covered with bumps, but bulletproof), every trail in the open complexes was open. Sunset, Upper Flume, and Walking Boss (exception of the bumps) had wall to wall grooming and nice surfaces. Did not see any bare spots. Managed 20K vertical before heading to work, thanks to the North Peak Quad. |
