Comments | Took advantage of the free night skiing sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield. Nearly a full parking lot.
Day skiing trails were open for the first hour. After 7ish, it was down to the Face (top to bottom) and lower slopes on either side of the T-Bar.
About 6-8 inches of new wet powder. Unfortunately, Lyndon's LMC 3700 broke down on the mountain recently, so there was no grooming. I struggled in the wet powder, especially on the intermediate pitches. Steeps, such as Zitz Mark, were easier for me, as I could jump turn down. Caution on Upper Suicide, as there are open mud pits and a couple of trees down - the trail was heavily damaged by a storm. Apart from that, there was wall to wall coverage throughout. I encountered no rocks. |
